چکیده
Quantum spin liquids are topological states of matter that arise in frustrated quantum magnets at low temperatures. At energies, such exhibit emergent gauge fields and fractionalized quasiparticles can also possess enhanced global symmetries compared to their parent microscopic Hamiltonians. We study the consequences this symmetry structure for hydrodynamics liquids. Specifically, we analyze two cases, $U(1)$ liquid with a Fermi surface $SU(4)$-symmetric "algebraic" liquid. show degrees freedom phase lead variety additional hydrodynamic modes high-temperature paramagnetic phase. identify regime internal field common both states, characterized by slow diffusion transverse photon.

Quantum spin liquids
This paper presents an overview of the properties of magnetic insulators, with emphasis on quantum effects. In particular, the consequences of strong quantum fluctuations on the low-energy properties of a number of systems are reviewed: the occurrence of a spin gap in spin-1 chains and other low-dimensional magnets; the presence of low-lying singlet excitations in several frustrated magnets; th...
متن کاملQuantum spin liquids: a review.
Quantum spin liquids may be considered 'quantum disordered' ground states of spin systems, in which zero-point fluctuations are so strong that they prevent conventional magnetic long-range order. More interestingly, quantum spin liquids are prototypical examples of ground states with massive many-body entanglement, which is of a degree sufficient to render these states distinct phases of matter...
متن کاملOne-dimensional Quantum Spin Liquids
This chapter is intended as a brief overview of some of the quantum spin liquid phases with unbroken SU(2) spin symmetry available in one dimension. The main characteristics of these phases are discussed by means of the bosonization approach. A special emphasis is laid on the interplay between frustration and quantum fluctuations in one dimension.
متن کاملQuantum Orders and Symmetric Spin Liquids
A concept – quantum order – is introduced to describe a new kind of orders that generally appear in quantum states at zero temperature. Quantum orders that characterize universality classes of quantum states (described by complex ground state wave-functions) is much richer then classical orders that characterize universality classes of finite temperature classical states (described by positive ...
